About me

I have been apart of Massey's Bring it On group for three years now and this year we did something a bit different. Instead of entering Bring it On, we got together around 20 people who actually WANTED to dance and would be committed to training. We trained two or three times a week and we go around the community doing shows.
  • Whangarei - This was our first performance as the "Massey Dance Crew." We drove up to Whangarei early one Sunday morning. Whangarei is around 3-4 hours drive. We were guest performers at a dance competition and our dance was around 6 and a half minutes long. It was an amazing experience and showed me what we could do when we had people who were committed.
  • Toa Toa - This was our second performance. Only 11 people in the crew competed in this competition but the rest of the dancers came and watched. We did not win but it was definately a 'different' competition, well different than what we're used to anyway. Usually we perform in a competition with a 360 degree stage, performing in front of around 10,000 people, so this competition was a good change. It allowed us to extend our abilities.
  • Mita's Hair Cutting Ceremony - we performed at one of our crew members' hair cutting ceremony. It was awesome and the food was SO GOOD i can't even begin to explain :)

This year i have been fortunate enough to meet and dance with 19-ish other talented people. We have proved people wrong and shown them what we're capable of. I can't wait for next year. I'm expecting bigger things. It would be sooo awesome to go overseas with all of you! I didn't think it would be possible to become such good friends with you all in 6 months. I have loved all of the trainings and i can tell you all everything. I CAN'T WAIT FOR DAYNA'S END OF YEAR DANCE CREW PARTY!!! It's going to be amazing just hanging out. :) I love you all and if you are leaving this year, good luck for your future <3

ANN wins ANTM cycle 15

Cycle 15 of Ameica's Next Top model has now come to an end. Ann Ward has won cycle 15 and will now be featuring in Italian Vogue and Beauty in Vogue.

I thought that this final was really good. First of all the girls headed off to do a shoot for the Vogue spread, should they win. The photographer seemed to love working with both of these girls. We heard a lot during this episode that Ann was a Fashion Model.

After that the girls headed off to do their covergirl commercial. The Top Model team decided this cycle they were going to do something different with this commercial. They decided that the girls were going to have to act the commercial and instead of having to learn lines, the girls were going to do an audio voice over, like how many commericals are done. Both of the girls did an amazing job and the commercial turned out very well, i thought.
The girls were then surprised by the arrival of their families during the covergirl ad photoshoot. This was a very nice gesture and gave the girls the extra inspiration. I really liked Chelseys covergirl photo (as shown below on the left.) It appears to be a bit more natural and i like how you are still able to see her freckles and the fact that she is SMIZING ;) I do also like Anns covergirl photo. She appears to be high fashion without even having to try!

After the covergirl shoot was done the girls went on to walk in a Roberto Cavalli fashion show. The designs were AMAZING. I wish i could purchase them all! When the runway started and Chelsey walked out for the first time, i was thinking "girrl you better work! I know you can do this." Although her walk was stronger in the motion editoral, the walk which she presented was still okay. Ann has a unique walk which has improved SO MUCH during the competition.Liz, Kayla, Chris, Lexie, Jane, Esther and Kendal also participated in the final runway.

Chelsey

In the end it came down to who the judges thought would be the best fit for the Italian Vogue cover. They continuously said that they thought Chelsey would be best suited for American fashion while Ann would be suited for Italian. So in the end ANN WARD is the 15th America's next top model. Good luck Ann and Chelsey. I can't wait to see what you accomplish. xoxo

ANTM Cycle 15 Final

Cycle 15 is just about coming to an end as Tomorrow is the America's Next Top Model final. This cycle has been the most high fashion of all the cycles and everything has taken a step up. It has been a cycle full of surprises but some good choices were made. Most, if not all of the girls should make it in either the fashion or acting industries. Their personalities were all so different but all of them stood out in their own way. I am quite excited as this cycle has been one of my favourites yet. The photoshoots which were done, although not all were high fasion, were still very good.
During this cycle there have been many top class photographers and guest judges. These include:
  • Diane von Furstenberg - Fashion Designer

  • Patricia Field - Fashion Designer

  • Matthew Rolston - Photographer

  • Karolina Kurkova - Supermodel

  • Patrick Demarchelier - Photographer

  • Francesco Carrozzini - Photographer

  • Zac Posen - Fashion Designer

  • Margherita Missoni - Model/Actress

  • Kyle Hagler - Manager, IMG model management

  • Franca Sozzani - Editor, Vogue Italia

  • Roberto Cavalli - Fashion Designer

I love the prizes for this cycle: A contract with IMG model a $100,000 covergirl contract and best of all the cover and spreads in Italian Vogue and the cover and spreads in beauty in vogue, AND representation on the Vogue italia website.

The finalists for this cycle are:

  • Ann Ward - The first contestant in top model history to ever receive FIVE First call outs in a row. Although she is slightly awkward she works her angles and is going to be extremly successful with her career. I believe that she has a very good chance of winning tomorrow. Her photos are amazing and her walk has imporoved a lot since the start of the show.
  •  Chelsey Hersley - Chelsey is 23 years old and her ice blonde hair, unique look and killer runway walk have helped her to get through to the finals. Chelsey has arguably the best runway walk in top model history. She will go far in the modelling industry. Her knowledge of the fashion industry has been an advantage during this cycle. She has been the one of the only contestants to genuinly know who is shooting her and she knows a lot about them. She has some very good shots in her portfolio and better woooork on the runway. Good luck for tomorrow. :)

The girls tomorrow get to walk in a Roberto Cavalli fashion show tomorrow for the finale as well as shooting their covergirl commercials and print ad. The girls get surprised by their families as they also join the girls in Milan. They also meet with Ian Bart of IMG models. Cavalli is also the guest judge in the final panel along with Jay Manuel. My guess is as good as yours as to who is going to win. Although there has been speculation, CW has denied all of the potenital spoilers. Both of these girls have worked so hard and it is going to be an amazing final. The girls' portfolio's are both very good so it's anyones game. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU.
